It’s going to be chaos when nothing happens. Absolute, magnificent, wealthy hyper-denominational chaos.
This is, sadly, the cycle of history. People trying to meme their apocalypses and end times into existence is not new, but it does carry a terrifically long arc. Specifically, this is the purview of those who would believe they can take their wealth with them, and if only they can induce the end-times which speak to their narcissism - I mean this clinically as well as colloquially - shall they get their reward and what they believe they deserve. Yet, their insistence on making it happen betrays that they are very well aware somewhere inside of themselves that they have a brittle and shakeable faith in something they somewhere believe might not happen unless they make it happen. Which in such a case, defeats the whole point of prophecy. So they carry on regardless.
All for what? These people, supposedly Christian or Jew, have already forsaken their God. Why do they expect God will answer them? It is not a machine. It isn’t a this and then that.
Such useless and shallow pointlessness. As an aside, this is why a monetary system attached to infinite storage is a mistake. We had our problems, but never anything like this because the store of value could eventually spoil if not consumed. The west must do better.
