But it's not as if it had been amazing if they dropped the humor. The story isn't really that amazing. It's an overly doe eyed, predictable narrative with generic hero and villain moments. The problem is exactly that they started taking it seriously, but you're right that isn't the core issue. The core issue is that they changed the writers after the PS2 games, from 90s/00s-core "It's a free country" writers to a 2010s complicit indie libtard.
