Only domestically they might move the needle a bit, but in the grand scheme of things NJPW has been in WWE 94-95 mode for nearly 30 years at this point. Even their record revenue years and western expansion was thanks to foreign talent.
The proof Okada was never that good was how poorly the company did with him on top in the early 2010s, and once Covid and AEW happened. Every time he was either propped up by foreigners on the card or NJPW ran shows like MSG that coincided with WM in the same city.
