SBMM killed FPS online. Large matches with random people of all skill levels is superior. You win some, and lose some. As you get better you start to win more than you lose and this feedback feels great for the player. SBMM forces you into lobbies where you're never winning. The enforced 50% ratio makes it feel like you're never getting better and all it takes is 1 bad teammate to kill your rating. Games were better when you just booted em up an played.
