Oh my God the writing in this show is so fucking terrible.
>a fucking hour to convey 10 minutes of plot
>writers would clearly rather be making westworld and throw alien scenes in as an afterthought
>Boy Cavalier (GET IT!?) literally being a seething writer's tech bro expy
>casually contradicting the setting (mega corps in Alien don't work the way the economically illiterate writers think)
>adding shit like touchscreens, cell phones, iPad's, the Internet and lithium ion batteries with no explanation or accommodation by the setting
>complete incapability of writing any kind of subtext
>conversations being written in such an utterly wooden way they're physically painful
>epic sick millennial culture references that make NO SENSE in the show's timeline
>squandering the entire premise by having much of the show being a bottle ship anyway
>stupid person's "deep existential" questions like "what if robot was human"

This is fucking insane; it's like an array of incredibly talented set people, prop people, alien design people, actors, artists, sound effect people, every, are trying valiantly to make a great Alien show but have to work around this absolute dog turd of a script thrown at them by writers who hate and dismiss the entire franchise.
