TCG cards are expensive and the price is usually brought up by artificial scarcity. Personally, when playing someone in a TCG-type game, I want to beat the other player because I was a better player than he was, not because I had a bigger wallet. I just don't understand why they're banned at tournaments and stuff if they essentially provide the same utility in a deck crafted to win
