Is there a method for fast mental multiplication? Or will I be forever cursed to pen and paper like a sub 120 IQcel

I just want an Asian gf who will let me play with her holes while she plays videogames.

I'm currently in the process of writing the plot and GDD of my Visual Novel/Arcadey Shmup. I'm gonna start toying around with a few game engines in the near future to start working the basics.
Have any anons played any good 2D Shmups lately that I could get some inspiration from? I'm not really interested in bullet hells pixel perfect autism like touhou. I've played a few PSX ones (Einhander, Raystorm) along with numerous flash/shockwave ones back in the day.
