The theory its going to break somewhere when its in our blindspot or so do some manuever that puts it towards earth. It is not entirely improbably, it can pretty easily use mars gravity to plink it towards us by just arriving at the right time.

No it isn't. I think how it works is if an object has enough momentum then it can start to pull away from Earth. Look at pic related, which is Voyager 1, a spacecraft which was launched in the 1970s. It was launched with enough energy to escape Earth's gravity. Earth's orbit is the dark blue in pic related, and Jupiter is the light blue, while Saturn is green.
