BP is the most buck for your money deal in the game. Besides what's in the pass itself, the real meat of it is that after you're done collecting the first 120 items, every time you gain a level past that, you gain 3 yellow boxes which let you gain shards for characters (1-3 per box) that let you grab any unit or EGO, unless they're from last season or Walpurgis stuff outside of Walpurgis.
Seasons last months, so you'll be able to farm a fair amount of boxes if you're into it.

They don't kill you for failing at it one time, if you're not part of the ring, you get 3 chances to voluntarily try and gain their protection through artwork evaluation. Twice and you're still safe, but if you attempt at 3rd time and fail, then your life is forfeit.
