For Surge, I feel like she brings a raw, savage, almost-beastlike appeal you see in unhinged characters like Broly. Like the comics don't quite capture that, but I feel like she could get there.
Bottom line is that her design is too cool to be stuck in the comics and an electrical-based speedster would be cool to play as.
