Do you seriously think we are hostile to Venezuela just because of some oil? Its not even a drug issue, that's just propaganda. The reality is Venezuela is constantly conspiring against us, funding anti american governments, helping undermine our influence while increasing our rivals and heavily destabilizing the region with mass immigration and yes, drugs.
See it however you'd like it. Id say any other country wouldn't have taken this long if they had our firepower.
