There is a certain kind of black metal that seems to be really popular yet I absolutely can't stand it. Hyper-melodic, fast paced with little to no tempo changes, "epic" clean production, and exclusively tremolo picked. I've taken to calling this music "Rousingslop" because it is usually described as "rousing, triumphant, glorious, valiant", etc. I can enjoy these elements separately or even paired together, Dawn and Naglfar are very fast paced and tremolofilled but lack "epic" production (Naglfar also have a lot of chugs and solos to keep things interesting), Bl*ckbraid has "epic" production but various tempo changes and a lot of chugs and solos, and Behemoth is very fast but not tremolofilled.
What would you call this brand of black metal, and what are some more bands like this so that I can know to AVOID THEM? Vothana is an exception to the "clean production" part, I would also like to avoid bands like this even if they have shitty production.
