Eiki is not the best candidate for lorefaggotry as even down to her first appearance, she mixes mythology with an overall statement on the execution of justice. People may be quick to pinpoint to her bribery card in UM as the breaking point when that becomes clear, but i'd argue it's been there ever since the clear breakdown Komachi gives in her PoFV ending. It is bilinear & arguably unfair.
Not to say her wisdom & lectures are completely worthless, but ever since the start, it's always felt as though there was an authority, nameless or not, that loomed over the morality that she represents, which one could argue is a statement about real life.
I'm sure there are bigger Eiki/Ministry of Right and Wrong lore sages that can bring more nuance if not contradict my statement, but that's how i've always interpreted the character.
