Who honestly gives a shit about any of IDW's characters? What makes them compelling on any level?

They don't HAVE to be. A good writer can work around mandates. The dumb gay OCs are just a crutch, and take away any chance of the titular character and his friends of doing anything remotely interesting. I don't give a single iota of a shit about the Not-Freedom Fighters, no matter how big ABT makes the sheep's tits. Surge almost made me care for half a second but that very quickly evaporated when it became clear she's just there to job and be bait for "I CAN FIX HER" waifufags. Kit also exists.

Sometimes I suspect that the comic is just a pet project for former fanfiction writers and fan artists who want to try and see how much gay shit they can shove into a Sonic comic and get away with it before Sega finally shuts it down. Huh. This sounds kinda familiar for some reason.

I don't know about soul, but the new models look too bulbous and their fingers have Jimmy Neutron finger tips. (Amy's model looks particularly bad in this regard.) Sonic always looked better when his hands were more or less normal human hands, not these gigantic cartoon catcher's mitts. There's not enough hard edges or contrast too, but that's more of an art style thing.

The Heroes models aren't good either, though. Sorry. They're a total step backward from SA2's. Which, frankly, were a downgrade of SA1's. I will take lots of goofy facial expressions over almost no facial expressions any day of the week, thanks.
