Oh, Job listing a bunch of random stuff God beat and controls? Like the leviathan? That's one of the things I mean when some stuff is just wack. We'd have to ask an ancient Israelite to know for sure how we should think of that. Old Testament stuff is particularly 'guilty' of assuming you have a massive sum of obligatory prior knowledge. These books were written for knowers, after all. It doesn't condescend to much basic information. That's also why they can be a bit.. crunchy. It's almost like trying to consume a text meant for academics. Full of terminology you'd know if you're part of the community, and the text feels no need to explain it itself.
Don't sweat stuff like that. Focus on salvation instead. Not like knowing the leviathan is probably just what we'd call chaos or entropy, or maybe not, saves you.
