I don't know where you live, but certainly within the UK you can still sometimes see them. They definitely have a dedicated community.

It's ironic that arguably one of Rover's greatest cars was pretty much the last car they'd ever actually develop themselves before bankruptcy.

Later examples like pic though are known for having been victim to some of Rover's last ditch cost saving measures, with real wood replaced by veneer on plastic, and ornamentation removed. Such cheapening of the car though couldn't have inspired customer confidence or sales though.
