Black Mesa is a full remake of half life 1 with entire new maps, voice lines, weapon models, sounds, etc. TF2 Goldrush and most other "retro mods" are just a few reverts that you can easily do in live TF2

This is the problem with low effort modders trying to pretend their lazy effort is worth a standalone mod instead of just hosting a modded server in live TF2
TF2 Classic, Open Fortress and Pre Forterss are different enough and have enough original content that it makes sense for them to be their own thing (you could still do a lot of what they do with sourcemods like VIP mode) but most others are so pointless
