I got around playing Doom 3 last month with the source port and imo it's alright with that nostalgic feeling of games from that era of pc gaming.
As I was fighting in a claustrophobic room with only the blue hue of the plasma rifle lighting my surroundings I got a glimpse of the vision the devs had when making this game and it felt pretty good.
