It's not like they're in relationships from the start, they have romance arcs over the game and into the FD. And that's what I've been saying this whole time, their romance arcs are really good and the game would be worse without them.

I've been saying it for years, but nobody listens to me.
Mitsuo's arc in Koibana is actually peak.
The Miyako route in Futakoi is also pretty good. I have some issues with it but they were actually fucking trying and there's some good writing in there.
