When I started lifting I had trouble getting just the bar up for 10 reps. I started doing multiple sets of only the bar and moved my way up like that. I still don't press a lot, but it has gotten better.
I was also training with a jacked dude that didn't make fun of me for having trouble with only the bar, he enjoyed teaching me and is proud to see how far I've gotten. The world is not all evil. Be happy and uplifting and the world around you will be too.
