All that, plus the idea that "anything is okay as long as there's consent!" Yeah, I'm sure there is zero physical, mental, and overall social damage being done when extreme fetishes take over people's lives, and those people then start shamelessly airing it out in public and presenting it as a positive thing. The precise moment that killed my addiction to porn was when I was reading a fetish blog pushing men and women to exclusively engage in anal sex, which seemed hot from a fantasy mindset, and the webmaster was shaming a dude who sent in a question explaining that he was uncomfortable with the idea of his wife/gf wanting an open relationship so she could have double anal all the time (pushing couples already doing only anal to try double anal was the webmaster's latest fixation, after more than a decade of pushing this anal blog content), with the webmaster telling him how he didn't love her if he wasn't willing to let her cheat on him and get assfucked by other men and be supportive of her. Before this, I already knew sex fetishists were fucked up in the head, but this particular interaction made me truly realize how open they had become about trying to use their fetishes as a opening to destroy monogamous relationships and norms just for the sake of it, and realize that they're not just fucked up, but pushing outright evil shit. Noticing the webmaster slipping more political snark into their posts, and pushing trannies too, compounded the issue. Nothing before or since had ever made porn less appealing than seeing someone try to shame a clearly confused and vulnerable dude for not self-nuking his own relationship and cucking himself. Sorry for the blogpost lol.
