Watching video guides on how to play games, among other things, is what sucks the fun out of them. Imagine playing a tower defense game but instead of playing it for fun, making mistakes and figuring out improvements yourself you look up a video guide for the most optimal build pattern and try to ape it as closely as possible. Why are you even playing the game at that point? I've seen this happen in countless games of different genres and it frankly sickens me, it's completely inorganic and just a robot painting by numbers.

You remember how a level 50 Pokemon you trained yourself is stronger than a level 50 you found in the wild? It's the same thing here, you'll not only get more satisfaction from improving, but be a better player that can continue to improve further if you figure things out for yourself. It's okay to seek help here and there if you are genuinely struggling with something, but if you're looking for a walkthrough you're on the wrong path.
