There are a couple of possibilities as to what would happen really.
A) You get a Sonic OVA reality consisting of a halfling.
B) It's like Pokemon where the child is always the same species as the mother, but will inherit the traits of both parents. Best case scenario.
C) Despite the comics stating that mobians contain a significant amount of human DNA, they're still incompatible. Basically humans and primates. Worst case scenario.
