Based. My favorite was right after Sephiroth slaughtered half of Shinra and you have to sneak through the building with blood everywhere. Felt so out of nowhere and ominous.
That was one of the biggest fuckups with the remake.
In the original people talked about him and remarked how scary he was, but you didn't even see what he looked like till the second disc flashback. The slowburn was perfect.
Remake was just him popping up like a jackass every 5 minutes.
