It increases short term profits, for whoever is left (the upper/upper middle class of business owners, execs, managers, admins, bureaucrats). It decreases the wages and job availability for the true middle, the doers. First they came for the factory workers and customer support reps, now they are mass displacing engineers, accountants, techs, truck drivers, all doers basically.
The money they save by fucking you over and sending your job somewhere cheaper goes into their pocket. The disparity grows. This is simple stuff.
