I was about 2,500 cycles in with 12 active dupes and decided to just delete my save
I had solved everything but that I would eventually run out of sand or have too much of something, like water because toilets are a net gain
I can't believe how much of a no brainer bristle blossoms are after you solve heat with polluted water pipes
I don't really understand the freebies
>geysers: 30C pwater, natgas
>SPOM
>bristle berries
>(wild) sleet wheat, (wild) pincha pepper, (wild) animals corralled onto a small platform outside your base
mostly because it's counterintuitive to new players, map gen can just say no, wild animals kill themselves all the time and... everything else sucks mega dick
Why did Klei make natgas so free? Why is petrol a multi-step process, hot, needs water, shoots out CO2 like there's no tomorrow and isn't the generator with a vent exhaust? Why does natgas get the vent? Why not put the pwater in an outflow tube?
My geysers stopped forming terrain tiles and were slowly creeping up to 100 tons in debris per tile, I was hoping they'd clog themselves so I could perform maintenance but then this happened and I don't know why
I can imagine it'd take a dupe army 10 years to shift literal metric tons
I set up a sustainable refinery with lights that only come on when dupes are working (speed increase seems negligible compared to skill)
I never set up a sustainable polymer press, which was going to be sweepy finally finding a purpose, but couldn't see why when it's a +20% (relative) speed increase from normal tiles and preset plastic tiles in the oil biome already melted, explaining to me how dangerous they are
Too many of my geysers were basically overlapping, which wasn't fun
All of the text files sucked, I was told the lore and the background was in them but I couldn't find it
I saw space for the first time, looked up at the stars, and didn't quote Zapp Brannigan... the temperature and the need to dig out several biomes to get up there made me sad
