I wouldn't worry so much about AI itself but rather mechanical robots. If machines can replace physical jobs which include farming and food processing, construction and building as well as policing, army and physical enforcement then essentially 99% of people will share same fate as wild animals who's habitat was deforested; starving and rotting by the billions. And I mean that literally, no food, no electricity, no water, no transport, nothing. Everything will be owned by the rich, enforced physically so you can't fight back and your best hope is that the AI will turn on them too and we all go extinct. Honestly, if we humans truly ever get to a point where 1% of people decides that 99% of its own specie are not worth of life then we deserve to go extinct; hopefully the AI will somehow learn to be more human than humans themselves...
