It probably should. There could be a couple reasons as to why no one's running the story for how big of a deal it is, but they could all be valid.
The James Webb telescope looked at the Cosmic Radiation Background (Edge of the observable universe) and found the remanent of fully formed stellar bodies that would be way too old for the model to explain.
The running theory now is that the universe is alot bigger and that we are in a black hole.
