Hey guys. Played 40k with friends back in like 2012-2013 or so, and we were gonna get back into it a year ago and all bought shit and are now actually gonna play.
I went with Orks because I played them before. I bought pic related combat patrol at the time but now I see the new combat patrol is the squig one and all the videos and stuff I see now seem like the meta is just running those big squig vehicle things with beast snagga boyz which I really just don't like the look of.
I'm not at all trying to run some crazy meta stuff, I'm just playing with friends, but how bad is it running just a big ork mob with some trucks and shit? For reference, my friends are playing space marines and chaos space marines, I forget specifically which branches of whatever.
