is there any point in rolling at the tail end of a season?

I've been meaning to just throw all my 120 rolls at this Walp and just shard the rest, but then it dawned on me that half of everything (except for Lunacy and Tickets) will be deleted, right?

If that's the case, isn't it objectively better to just use up all of your crates, shard anything you want and then "begin anew" by actually pulling on the first Walpurgis of season 7?
