Did you even play Dark Souls 3? You enter a BIG ASS DOOR which leads to empty steps to a room you can see into which looks like a boss arena. There's also an elevator to the right of those stairs in your screenshot.

I will literally never understand how you guys can see the door and go "yes, this is a side path" when you can't see behind it. They couldn't make it any more obvious. The only door that leads to a boss fight that I will admit doesn't look like a boss door is the one in Zhenwu with the lightning guy
