I get the impression that they sent Mono to Dormin to be sacrificed to him for whatever reason. Which if true is a theme in all his games so far. The Horned Children and I think kids in Trico from what I've heard. (I've never played it yet) the slab shes on reminds me of some sort of aztec sacrificial slab thing.
