It's a lot of fun at level 5 with just the spellsparker, the ring to activate the rad orb gear is going to be delightful when I get it. 1 level of hexblade for the curse is top tier too, the guy I saw suggest it is a real one. Makes the missiles rarely roll low
Maybe you don't get the useful metamagics (and they are godly, I admit) but wizard class features are comfy, and I'm looking forward to Evo 10 a lot. Already the spell sculpting has been good when I need to drop some AoE down on the melees
