I've noticed this a lot more lately, not just here. People have less money so they have to convince themselves that everything they can't afford is shit or they can't appreciate something of even slightly lesser quality even if both are great.
Yet here I am getting two cakes. Yeah maybe one isn't as pretty as the other but I love cake.
