Yes, joking aside the Day of Revelation may never come for them. Sometimes they don't even know it's a hive fleet. They think actual gods are descending from the stars, so logistics aren't part of their zealot religion. There's also enslavers, overlords, and those other freaky things in the Jovian range that qualify as Lovecraft aliens. So squad faces mutants could very well pop up during the heresy.
