Most of (You) subscribe to the belief that disengaging a manual safety might be forgotten so removing the safety from the equation is the wisest move.
How does this not apply to slings on a gun that, if it is needed, will 100% be used indoors and under stress, likely after you've just woken up? Just remove the sling from the equation.
