There's an important distinction in our theology; important enough that I feel this statement must be made.
Men were created to be the icons of God. So you're not too far off in a specific sense, but you're still worshiping un-creation, or extinction of your own consciousness, at a certain level. We believe this is evil.
At a certain level, man is meant to come into sync with the uncreated energies of God. This however does not mean the extinction of consciousness, but it's exaltation. Therefore you're almost close but also so far away from the Truth.
The other main thing we believe is that Truth is taught by a literal continuous personal communion with the Body of Christ, going back to Christ himself. Taught by someone who was taught by someone who was taught.... on and on to someone who was personally familiar with Christ.
The fractal nature of reality we already accept and exalt with our service, desu. We just exalt creation and the uncreated light instead of hades and death.
