I remember that in the build up to the Phantom Pain being Big Boss's tragic downfall into villany it was brought up how part of his downfall in Phantom Pain would involve him bringing "child soldiers" into his military.

But it seems like in this discussion everyone forgot that Big Boss ALREADY had "child soldiers" back in Peace Walker with Chico. The game doesn't even try to hide this look at pic-related it explicitly calls Chico a "Child Soldier". And this is the real Big Boss not Venom.
