Terrible. Pretty clear Kojima just wanted a cute blonde pseudo loli in the game (which is fine) but as a character she is pretty damn unremarkable. Overall the new characters in PW sucked dick.
Her role in GZ is also so stupidly dark it ends up being hilarious with the whole vagina bomb thing. Most likely Kojima being horny for some weird torture thing.
Shame Kojima didn't add the whole edgelord Chico idea into the game, that might have elevated Paz a bit more by having us deal with someone who got completely destroyed as a person by the aftermath of her character arc.

Big Boss also canonically believes that Santa Claus is real. This might seem like a random joke but is actually consistent with Big Boss's character in MGS3 because back then he is extremely naive and just believes his government without question.

Part of why he believes Santa Claus is real is because the government organization known as NORAD tracks his movements every Christmas. NORAD is basically the group of people that monitors US airspace and are the people that will monitor if any nukes start flying toward the US, but monitoring Santa is a real thing they do as a gimmick for little kids. Adults know it's just a joke but since part of Big Bosses character in MGS3 is that he unquestionably believes his government wouldn't lie to him he thinks the Santa tracker is legit.

But it seems like in this discussion everyone forgot that Big Boss ALREADY had "child soldiers" back in Peace Walker with Chico. The game doesn't even try to hide this look at pic-related it explicitly calls Chico a "Child Soldier". And this is the real Big Boss not Venom.

Kojima is notorious for putting major twists in all of his games so the revelation of Quiet being Chico wouldn't have been out of the question. The theory gained a lot of traction because it seemed like the type of shit Kojima would do.
