They didn't look quite as good I'd say, but it wasn't like I was completely new to drawing. Here's some of the stuff I think was the best I did back then. Top left was inspired by an image I like but without reference, top right was using a few references for Elegg, bottom left was a 1hr figure drawing and bottom right was an 8 hour drawing that was like 90% copied from a model I posed.

I jumped around a lot.
Pretty much immediately started with just grinding out semi finished Illustrations. Did like 40 in 50 days by doing one League champion at a time, doing some quick constructive copies of their official art to get a feel for them.
Then I spent like 1 month going through the Weichun book, then I grinded gestures for another month or 2, occasionally doing master studies of kan liu and other stuff.
Then I burnt out prepping for Artfight, did a few illustrations for that and took until now to recover.
I basically just looked at what I thought I was weak at, looked for resources for that and just grinded for a while, rinse and repeat.
