anyone using cast iron without using butter lard or tallow is missing out. when i was younger i used to try building the seasoning using oil but oil just sucks. i remember being frustrated with how poor the seasoning was and wondered what did people use back in the day, hyper processed cooking oil or the fat of animals. so i started using fats and its never been better. i literally just rinse it clean thats it. seasoning so strong i dont even bother post clean oiling.
