I did just to keep the invoices looking good for when it came time to sell. Most stuff wasn't mega expensive, but just seeing genuine parts being used on the invoices really helps attract buyers. The OEM discs are also a 2 piece design that saves some weight, hence why the bell hasn't corroded in the same way as the disc.

I was well aware of this, but I wasn't going to own the car long enough to warrant spending the cash for a floating setup; I'd essentially be buying it just for the next guy to get all the use out of them. My brother bought the front discs shortly before I bought it, then I paid £370 to get new rear discs to match. As you can see, they've increased in price quite significantly since then.

Nice! I think the E30 is a much nicer car to own, too, so much so that I ended up with two of them. When you say a 2.8, is it an M20 Stroked to 2.8, or an M52?
