I don't know why people are complaining so much. This meta is way better than the ones we had like two years ago when Ulduar came out and even for the most part badlands (the beginning of the expansion was very good but they completely ruined it with patches). I'm trying out the new control warrior deck and It's really fun, you actually have to think how you're going to end the game since your wincon is not as clear cut vs most decks. And the fact the quests isn't auto keep (you pretty much only actually keep it vs other warriors) makes it an interesting strategy card. Even startships themselves are not that autowin of a mechanic. Compared that to the absolute shit that was Odyn, and then later Brann, where it was just ''I draw Brann, or I draw Odyn' and that's just the whole fucking deck, no build up no nothing, it was very boring and you never really had to think about anything outside of ''Will I die if I play Odyn this turn''.
Even the aggro/midrange decks don't feel as awful to play as they used, both the demon hunter/hunter/warlock aggro decks feel like actual aggro from back when, where their very fast and explosive but have little reach and draw so they either win or lose by turn 5/6 (which is how aggro should play). In fact the only decks I really hate queueing against are quest mage and mech warrior.
I don't know, I'm actually kind of having fun with this list. It really feels like old school control decks. And even the field I'm playing against doesn't feel too awful or oppressive. I'm hoping they keep the lower player power around and don't sucumb to steamer/reddit monkeys complaining. I honestly think the meta will get even better if they continue to print lower power level stuff, with the miniset maybe giving some needed cards for the very under performing quests like hunter and rogue.
