You're very wrong. Mothership consistently providing burn in the form of Carrier/Templars for Archon/Collosus is the reason the deck works. A good control deck can consistently clear and be at 20ish HP when the first Mothership comes down, but a single Carrier on an empty board is 16 damage to the face with no counterplay because you spent your turn dealing with the Mothership. If the Mothership only provided a couple more boards, it would be an easy matchup for Starship DK but it isn't. The Hunter cards give it a chance to stabilize against aggro, but they're not why the deck works and aggro is getting forced more and more out of the meta.

Yes, and it matters a lot. Drawing cards accelerates your gameplan, but does nothing to stop you from losing the game. Playing removal, outside of a couple of niche scenarios where you kill an enemy's specific wincon minion, stops you from losing the game, but does nothing to help you win it. Those are not the same things, even if they might appear linked. Removal is fundamentally opposed from greed, because they do two very different things. Greedy decks are solitaire decks where you just try to turbo through your exact same gameplan every game regardless of what the other person is doing because your deck's win condition is that strong. Removal heavy decks actually promote thinking and balancing how heavily you extend onto the board vs your deck's ability to refill for another threat wave.

Greedy decks aren't inherently fun either, or do you enjoy playing against Protoss Mage every game? The powerlevel of the decks does a lot more for determining the fun of meta then the specific archtypes, but the archtypes do define what decks are good and what aren't. Aggro has been getting dicked by Blizzard repeatedly, and as such, decks that would just fucking rollover and die are now getting enabled because they're not punished for their greed.

even the "good" tribes naga and pirate are several leagues below
quests are horrible design. all low armor quests are unplayable and most of the quests are unplayable in general. you either pick the one giga broken reward you get offered every blue moon or the only one with a positive effect you can immediately do. they offer you an illusion of choice when you pick them but really they might aswell delete 80% of them
even people like Jeef who is at giga brain 15k mmr are bored of bgs because a huge chunk of the new content is just there to delude the shop pool

so many people have commented on how infested low-elo, non-sweaty-legend ranks are infested with murloc paladin, suggesting that your deck MUST be tuned to beat murloc paladin because if it isn't, it's literally impossible to climb given how many opponents are playing it
and yet.. i have probably played one or two murloc paladins in my past 50 matches. and i'm not at sweaty-legend elo.
just goes to show how rigged the matchmaking is. shit just decides what funnel you get placed in and whatever band you've been selected for is your reality. my reality does not see murloc paladins, but it's clear that a lot of people do see it

I've played around 70 matches and not hit legend yet this month. Murloc paladin and Protoss Priest and aggro DH are the most common. They've made up about 50% of the field but the other 50% is all kinds of stuff. Control warrior, slow DK decks, avianna druid, quest mage, fyrakk rogue are all out there.

I've wasted a lot of games experimenting but my highest level winrates have been with Cliff Diver DH and the new handbuff DK tribal undead deck. The handbuff DK deck feels like a real kick in the balls to the current meta.
