I'm trying to do a master study on Methonium or Synedoche, but I'm struggling with figure drawing because I was never trained. Would it be a good idea to get a brief introduction to figure drawing first, or should I just learn from the artist by breaking down their work and applying it to my own? Thanks

Why aren't there more Black/African characters in Anime and Manga? In Japan it could be excused, but in Anime where the setting is in other areas there should be more. But even in Japan, there should be more seeing as Japan is getting an increasingly sizable minority population.
