anon posted this a few week ago and i can only vouch for this list. i'm sure it's also easily translatable with MTL, especially ruitomo and sorechiru if you're struggling. i went from not knowing how to read anything to an internalized being of japanese humor and tsukkomi gag lines in just a month by reading those two work of art. bengarachou is also as easy as it gets even for its grandoise prose with obscure kanji. again, all of mareni's work are all easily translatable with MTL, most plotge with a serious tone are easy to translate with MTL because of their lack of humor (a lot of people struggle understanding untranslated japanese humor, that's why i highly recommend the first two game.) i also have tried france shoujo and god it pulled me in right away even with my beginner skills. i assure you won't get bored reading the main happy go like girls express their daily wealthy lifestyle with totally nothing going on behind their back.

Whenever I'm in-between VNs, I can't calm down. I need to always be reading a VN. I was watching a movie today, because I just finished my last one, and I couldn't stop thinking about vinnies.
