Any danger with using a cheap GaN charger from a reputable company?
Picrel on sale at ASDA. One of the big 4 supermarkets in Bongistan. Typical for supermarkets or other big chain stores, they have their own ranges of basic electronics. Just basic stuff made for them by probably a big Chinese factory, with their own brand label slapped on it, and sold for cheaper than famous brands.
This is your typical 65W 3-port charger. Cost is 22 bongbux, while Ugreens and Ankers of the same spec usually go for 30-40 bongbux on Amazon and direct.
But picrel is on sale right now for 11 bongbux. I'm very tempted to pick one up. But...it feels TOO cheap. Too cheap to be safe? Like that's why they're getting rid of stock? None of the supermarkets including ASDA are known for selling dangerous electronics or anything. If it was really dangerous there would be a recall right, instead of a discount?
