just like how Poseidon the 'God of the Sea' can control the Sea Kings, there is a Hades 'God of the Earth' that can control Hellfire Serpents. They can be recognized by these slit eyes. One of these ruled the world in the First Age and was a tyrant, so the only remaining association after like three thousand years and the world ending twice is that being born with snake eyes means the most evil cunt who ever lived
It's weird how two of the ancient weapons we know of have roman names while one has a greek name. I think what the reveal will be is that there are three or more 'divine lineages' that have the names of greek gods, and that to defeat and replace them, artificial weapons with roman names were built
