Nah. Even in the hottest desert or the most frigid tundra, the ground water stays at like 55-70F. But to get water pressure they pump it out of the ground into elevated steel tanks that bake in the sun. On low consumption days, when they don't cool the tank with the cooler groundwater intake to replenish, it gets hot in the sun. Small town desert problems.
