it's a thing of the past. our current and future writers are clearly weaker in comparison. likely due to differing upbringing circumstances. that coupled with the fact studios stopped taking risks on scripts. we used to get a steady amount of B films and other low budget stuff. nowadays they don't lay any money down unless they have some sort of guaranteed projected return
